Meeting Overview
The March 22-23, 2007 meeting was the third face-to-face meeting for the OpenAjax Alliance.
This was a watershed meeting for the Alliance because:
- It represents the first meeting when the Alliance has produced significant amounts of material (OpenAjax Hub, OpenAjax Registry, OpenAjax Best Practices, etc.), so we need to talk about roll-out strategies and plans.
- InteropFest 2007 March - We will have our first Interoperability Event (InteropFest 2007 March), where we take our first baby steps towards a long-term roll-out of the OpenAjax Conformance trust mark to the industry.
- We need to talk about how to showcase Ajax and OpenAjax on a future version of the Web site. Two ideas have been suggested:
- Promote the InteropFest 2007 March wiki page onto the main Web site
- Develop a vendor- or product-selector application that uses Ajax techniques and uses OpenAjax Conformant technologies
- Our four task forces (Communications Hub, IDE Integration, Server Integration and Security) have been making great progress. We need hear about their progress and decide on next steps.
Time and place
The meeting will be hosted by IBM on March 22-23 at IBM's 590 Madison Office (Conf Room 1219), NY, NY.
Schedule
We have a full agenda.
- There will be a general meeting that lasts 1.5 days (through lunch on Friday).
- On Friday afternoon, the Marketing Committee will conduct a marketing breakout session.
Therefore, for most of the attendees, the meeting will wrap up during lunch on Friday, but for the marketing committee, the meeting will continue until late afternoon on Friday. Specifics:
- Everyone: March 22, from 9am to 6pm
- Everyone: March 23, from 9am to 1pm
- Marketing committee: March 23, 1pm - late afternoon

Registration page
People who plan to attend (or might attend), please add your name to 2007 March Members Meeting Registration, primarily so that we can make badges in advance and plan how many refreshments we need.
Who can attend
Official members (i.e., companies that have signed and submitted the Members Agreement) and invited guests (such as outside speakers) can attend the meeting. Members are strongly encouraged to attend. This will be an important meeting.
Companies that have not completed the signature and approval processes for the Members Agreement will be treated an non-Members and thus not allowed to attend the meeting except as "invited guests". We may have some invited guests who will come to the meeting to present to the Membership. The invited guests will only join the meeting during the time when they are presenting. At the beginning of the time when the invited guest is in the room, there will be an announcement stating that Members must be careful about what they say because discussion during that period of time involves participants who have not committed to our IP policy.
