Aptana Kevin Hakman (This was written by Jon Ferraiolo in lieu of Kevin, who is on family leave.) Aptana has a series of products centered on Ajax development and that will be using OpenAjax technologies. Aptana Studio is a popular (Eclipse-based) Ajax IDE that will support the emerging OpenAjax Metadata file format. Aptana Jaxer simplifies server-side application development by offering full client technologies on the server (i.e., Jaxer includes a full browser engine). The Jaxer team currently is working to support OpenAjax Widget Metadata. Aptana Cloud offers simple and scalable web app deployment. Kevin currently chairs the IDE Working Group and served on the OpenAjax Alliance Steering Committee during his previous employment with TIBCO.
Eclipse Mike Milinkovich The Eclipse community has a number of open source projects focused on both Ajax runtimes and tools for Ajax developers. Eclipse has been involved in the OpenAjax Alliance since its inception, and Mike Milinkovich has been on the Steering Committee since it was launched. Mike's personal contributions to the organization have been primarily around the creation of the transparent development process used for specifications at OpenAjax and in the general area of how to manage a large, vendor-neutral association such as OpenAjax.
Dojo Kris Zyp The Dojo Foundation is home to the Dojo toolkit, one of the most popular Ajax toolkits, and also various other open technology initiatives. Dojo was a charter member of the OpenAjax OpenAjax Alliance since its inception and has been on the Steering Committee since it was launched. Kris Zyp not only is a top contributor to Dojo but is also a major contribution to the Ajax community in general (e.g., his work on JSON Schema and his recent Persevere project) and is a regular speaker at Ajax conferences on cutting edge topics.
IBM David Boloker IBM has a wide variety of products that use Ajax technologies, ranging from various WebSphere products, to our suite of Rational tools, and our Lotus product line. IBM also is a strong contributor to many open source projects, including Ajax projects. IBM played a key role in launching OpenAjax Alliance. David Boloker has been Steering Committee chair since the formal organization was launched and Jon Ferraiolo has been managing operations at the alliance on a full-time basis.

[1] The "Member" is usually the name of a company or organization, but we have small number of individuals who are members, and they can run for Steering Committee, also. For individuals, simply enter your name in both the Member and Person column.

[2] The "Person" is the individual who is expected to be the primary person to participate in the Steering Committee on behalf of the given company or organization.

[3] The "Short write-up" is optional but recommended. It should provide a quick summary of the nominee's contributions to the Ajax ecosystem and contributions to date to OpenAjax Alliance. Please keep it short. If you have a lot to say, then post the longer version somewhere on the OpenAjax wiki and link to the longer version.

Who can use the forms

This year anyone from an organization can enter nominations. Although we suggest that the organization's Primary Contact enter nominations and cast votes, the nominee form uses the OpenAjax participants database and allow anyone who is known to be a participant for a given organization to modify nominations for a given organization. The pages are programmed to cc: the Primary Contact each time an organization's nomination entry is modified.
