This wiki page holds instructions for how Members of OpenAjax Alliance can nominate themselves as candidates for the 2010 Steering Committee Election.
The election will take place from October 15-22, 2010, which is approximately one year after the 2009 election. Members can nominate themselves for the election during the period from September 15-October 14, 2010. The main wiki page for the election with overview explanations is at:

Who can nominate
Any Member may nominate themselves as a candidate for the Steering Committee by adding themselves to the Nominee table found at the bottom of this page.
At the end of the day on October 14, 2010, the list of nominees will be closed. Only those nominees who were added to this wiki page before the end of day on October 14 will be listed on the Voting Form for the 2010 Steering Committee election. (On October 15, 2010, the voting form will appear at: http://www.openajax.org/member/Election2010/vote.php)

To add yourself as a nominee, simply edit the wiki page to add a new row to the table below. Please try to keep the list of nominees in alphabetic order (by company name, or for individual members, by person's name).

IBM has chaired multiple Working Groups and includes OpenAjax Hub 2.0 in 100+ commercial software products and OpenAjax Metadata support in Rational Application Developer. IBM has been a major contributor to the OpenAjax open source projects and now provides a co-chair for the Accessibility Task Force. |

[1] The "Member" is usually the name of a company or organization, but we have small number of individuals who are members, and they can run for Steering Committee, also. For individuals, simply enter your name in both the Member and Person column.
[2] The "Person" is the individual who is expected to be the primary person to participate in the Steering Committee on behalf of the given company or organization.
[3] The "Short write-up" is optional but recommended. It should provide a quick summary of the nominee's contributions to the Ajax ecosystem and contributions to date to OpenAjax Alliance, and (if appropriate) explanation for why this organization would do particularly valuable to have on the Steering Committee. Please keep it short. If you have a lot to say, then post the longer version somewhere on the OpenAjax wiki and link to the longer version.
Who can use the forms
This year anyone from an organization can enter nominations. Although we suggest that the organization's Primary Contact enter nominations and cast votes, the nominee form uses the OpenAjax participants database and allow anyone who is known to be a participant for a given organization to modify nominations for a given organization. The pages are programmed to cc: the Primary Contact each time an organization's nomination entry is modified.
