Who can nominate
Any Member may nominate themselves as a candidate for the Steering Committee by adding themselves to the Nominee table found at the bottom of this page.
At the end of the day on October 20, 2011, the list of nominees will be closed. Nominees for 2011 Steering Committee Election
The following table lists those members who are nominating themselves for the 2011 Steering Committee election.
To add yourself as a nominee, simply edit the wiki page to add a new row to the table below. Please try to keep the list of nominees in alphabetic order (by company name, or for individual members, by person's name).
| Member [1] | Person [2] | Short write-up [3] |
|---|---|---|
| TIBCO Software Inc. | Howard Weingram | TIBCO provides the TIBCO PageBus and TIBCO General Interface toolkits. TIBCO has been an active contributor to the Steering Committee, Interoperability Working Group, Gadgets Task Force, and Security Working Group |
| Microsoft | Bertrand Le Roy | Microsoft produces Visual Studio, WebMatrix, ASP.NET, Internet Explorer, and participates in jQuery and Node.js. Microsoft has been an active member of the alliance since 2007, and a member of the steering committee. |
| Chris Schalk | Google has been an active member of the alliance since 2006, and a member of the steering committee. |
[1] The "Member" is usually the name of a company or organization, but we have small number of individuals who are members, and they can run for Steering Committee, also. For individuals, simply enter your name in both the Member and Person column.
[2] The "Person" is the individual who is expected to be the primary person to participate in the Steering Committee on behalf of the given company or organization.
[3] The "Short write-up" is optional but recommended. It should provide a quick summary of the nominee's contributions to the Ajax ecosystem and contributions to date to OpenAjax Alliance, and (if appropriate) explanation for why this organization would do particularly valuable to have on the Steering Committee. Please keep it short. If you have a lot to say, then post the longer version somewhere on the OpenAjax wiki and link to the longer version.
Who can use the forms
This year anyone from an organization can enter nominations. Although we suggest that the organization's Primary Contact enter nominations and cast votes, the nominee form uses the OpenAjax participants database and allow anyone who is known to be a participant for a given organization to modify nominations for a given organization. The pages are programmed to cc: the Primary Contact each time an organization's nomination entry is modified.
