This is the home wiki page for the Mobile TF work on Mobile Device APIs.
During the months of March and April, 2008 (and a little bit of May), we worked together on a fast-track exploratory phase to assemble use cases, requirements, and security considerations around allowing the Web Runtime (i.e., an Ajax engine) to be extended with JavaScript APIs to access mobile device capabilities such as the phone dialer, current location, SMS engine, MMS engine, local email, address book, network connection status, and several other things.
