Notes

Rhys did not manage to take minutes into IRC for today's call, so here are his notes.

• There was general discussion of the content of the sandbox page [2] revealed general agreement that the content was a really good basis for the white paper.
• By e-mail, Rotan offered to provide some additional input. He also noted that there may be other people with complementary experience of mobile applications and who might be able to contribute.
• By e-mail, Rotan also noted that we should 'sanitize' any specific examples, in case we are criticized for bias in particular directions.
• There was general discussion of the way to proceed with the paper, and in particular of the relative roles of the sandbox page[2] and the table of contents page [1].
• In particular it was felt that we should maintain the 'source material', currently in the sandbox page, so that we have a lasting record of the contributions on which the paper is based.
• There was also discussion of the timetable for the next phase of development of the white paper. The following was agreed:
  • The sandbox remains open to new contributions and changes until December 21st. After that date, there should be no further changes.
  • Rick will develop a first draft of the paper itself after December 21st, and hopes to have that ready early in the new year. This draft will form the main discussion at the next proposed conference call on January 9th.
  • Once the group is happy with the draft, work will take place with the OAA Marketing WG to refine the paper ready for publication.
  • The target is to have the paper published and available in time for Ajax World, in March.
• In any other business, Rhys announced that this would be his last OAA call, as he is moving on from Volantis.
