Agenda:
1. Firebug Accessibility Extension 0.91 Alpha
Download: http://code.google.com/p/ainspector/downloads/detail?name=a11y-firebug-0.91-alpha.xpi&can=2&q=
Looking at new extension using CNN.com
CCR currently set to AAA levels - Rule: Color_2
Suggestion to stick w/ WCAG Level A and AA
Need to identify in message what level of WCAG (A, AA, or AAA)
JG: Red outline / highlighting not very salient with people
AA: If you could read bg color and make highlight inverse could be helpful
JG: Or read bg color and select a color that supports WCAG ccr
AA: Level of WCAG checking needs to be clear (A, AA, AAA)
PA: Images tab - small bug - if you select any image above the first one by using the mouse (clicking the row) and now move up using the keyboard to the top row, and continue to press up arrow key, you return to the row that you selected with the mouse before.
JG: Have some support for keyboard but need to finish that work
JG: There are some bugs in Firebug keyboard support that Hans is working on, but we need to define our own keyboard list.
PA: Sent a list of comments to Jon in e-mail
AA: Question - headings and landmarks - how can we see all of the landmarks on the page?
JG: There are no landmarks on the CNN page
JG: That's a question we have - how should you warn people that something doesn't exist? For example, the fact that there are no landmarks on CNN page?
NH: Add an Element of "page" to Headings/Landmarks and anything that applies to the whole page that is missing would be there
MJ: Perhaps add a Summary tab that lists # of manual checks, # of violations, # of passes etc - and include that there are no landmarks on a page
AA: Something that would combine / give summary of left panel for each tab
NH: Ability to hide pass / fail
AA: Way to capture to CSV output?
JG: Could be two types of reports.. WCAG organization and element organization
JG: Will be adding Preferences to the extension
JG: A, AA, AAA, option to test for broken links, assume tables are for markup or layout
