In short I want to send to the OpenAjax alliance the Employer Consent Form for Individual Members with my data but I have a question about how fill it, the main doubt is the follow, there is a point where says "Full Legal Name of Company", I don't understand what name of company I must write here because if is a form for an individual member then it means that I'm not part of some one or at least I don't want register me with the name of one company. I want register me on the OpenAjax alliance first and after to my organization which I'll found later with a selection of web developers with Ajax experience. I thanks for your answer, regards. However, if you are employed by any companies, then you fill out and sign the Members Agreement and you also have each of your employers fill out and sign an employer consent form. In this case, the "full legal name of company" on the employer consent form refers to the name of your employer's company. Thanks for your interest in OpenAjax Alliance! Message-ID: <006c01c803bb$be7f4a80$64a8a8c0@DJRVK8C1> Dear OpenAJAX Members, I am an accessibility evangelist and publisher of the Blind Access Journal blog found at http://blindaccessjournal.com. Though I consider myself to be a reasonably adept technology user, I am not a developer. Nevertheless, I am concerned about what the future holds with respect to AJAX and other technologies with respect to people who are blind or visually impaired. After spending some time at the OpenAJAX.org web site, the only thing I can currently find regarding accessibility is the word mentioned in the project's Best Practices. As the aim of OpenAJAX seems to be interoperability among various browsers and developers of AJAX code, this project would certainly seem to be one of the appropriate places to discuss accessibility. I am simply writing to collect the thoughts of other OpenAJAX participants with respect to the role of accessibility considerations as the project moves forward with proposing interoperability standards. In-Reply-To: <006c01c803bb$be7f4a80$64a8a8c0@DJRVK8C1> Message-ID: Hi Darrell, Thanks for paying attention to OpenAjax Alliance and pointing out the importance of accessibility and the challenges presented by Ajax. It is true that we do not yet have any specific initiatives around accessibility at OpenAjax yet, but I guarantee that accessibility is considered a critical issue. One reason OpenAjax Alliance hasn't done much on accessibility yet is that we attempt to partner with other standards bodies and avoid competing with them. For example, there is an ARIA initiative at the W3C. We haven't had bandwidth at OpenAjax Alliance to determine what OpenAjax Alliance might do in partnership with the ARIA effort or what other initiatives OpenAjax Alliance might do around accessibility, but so far I am hearing that the members of OpenAjax strongly support ARIA. One mechanism that OpenAjax Alliance is likely to use to promote accessibility with Ajax application is our Best Practices efforts. I expect that our Best Practices documents will include specific requirements in the area of accessibility; in fact, I expect that accessibility will be emphasized as strongly as anything else. I hope that at some point in the future vendors will need to support "accessible Ajax" in order to claim "OpenAjax Conformance". Unfortunately, we haven't made much progress with our Best Practices initiatives yet and probably won't have bandwidth to do much work around Best Practices until 2008.
