Jon: /member/wiki/WCAG_2.0_Principle_1_Perceivable_Rules

Proposed rules review
Jon: /member/wiki/WCAG_2.0_Principle_1_Perceivable_Rules#Requirement_1.1.1_Non-text_Content
Jon: Rule 1.1.1 - discussed table
Jon: proposing Design & Repair rule sets
Jon: some rules may not be specifically spelled out in WCAG 2.0
Jon: like "no orphaned content"
Jon: would be recommendation (Repair) or minimum
Jon: would like to have them used in new but not necessarily legacy pages.
Rich: in large orgs, dev wants to know "When are we done?"
Rich: possibly "Strict Implementation"
Jon: one rule set for minimum/most important, another for Design/strict
Ann: "strict" is better label than "Repair"
Rich: agrees
Jon: what's the other option?
Ann: how about "Minimum"?
Group agreement: Minimum and Strict Severities
Rich: need to define difference
Group discussion of 1.1.1 rules with Jon updating wiki page.
Jon: File names in the alt attribute will be checked by identifying common image file suffixes in the alt attribute content, including: .jpg, .jpeg, .jfif, .gif, .png, .tif and .tiff.
Jon: For English the following words should not appear anywhere in the alt attribute content: "image", "picture", "graphic", "photo" and "photograph".
