Agenda

SourceForge project: ready for code to be checked in

Jon: skeleton set up, James did SVN magic. hub folder at root. subdirs: trunk, branches, tags, as discussed at last week's markup meeting

Jon: trunk/src will contain js files

Jon: contributors need to go through documented process (sign agreement, send e-mail)

SourceForge home page: http://openajaxallianc.sourceforge.net/

  • Should reflect previous committee decisions
  • One proposed change - split out IPR rules into separate document

-- /process/OpenAjax%20Alliance%20IPR%20Policy%2020060816.pdf -- Change SourceForge home page to refer to this document

Jon: Jeff Thompson (IBM attorney) suggested a second doc with the IPR appendix - refer to this for non-member contributors

Jon: no objections. resolved, will have the sourceforge project for non-members point to separate rules document

Reminder: Steering Committee election this weekend

Jon: last day to nominate is this Friday. We have 6 nominations. If we have more than 7, people can choose.

Jon: need hardcopy signed members agreement by midnight Tues (Oct 3) in order for nominations to be valid -- all current nominees satisfy that

Jon: vote sat through tue (Oct 3) Primary contact for each company votes by sending e-mail. Votes counted Oct 4 and announced at start of meeting.

Face-to-face meeting

Jon: moderators and panel members have volunteered. Will update agenda page today.

Jon: anyone on this call participating?

kevin: tibco would present at runtime

alex: mobile or futures

chris?: oracle - developer tools, runtime a better fit. oracle's focus is server-side components with ajax

jon: server-side belongs in developer tools session, which should perhaps be called dev tools + server side

jerry evans sun: JSR 290 (mobile/ajax) length?

jon: suggest 10 minutes max for presentations, 1.5 hr sessions with 4-5 people, leave time for discussion

jon: breakout session with two technical committees. topic: road map? whether committees should be separate or joined, relation to open source project. Comments/additions?

jon: promises of hub integration into products, open sourcep projects. try to get commitments, schedules

david: directions?

jon: greg will follow up with directions and details

greg?: santa clara campus. will get exact directions. next to clock tower, owned by sun education
