shawn are you dialing in?

Trying…having VOIP issues. In in a few via cell if it comes to it.

Rich: Nathan, how's the cross browser work going?

Nathan: Pretty much done.

I am working from home today

Jon: did Nathan modify just one rule?

Nathan: Thinks there was more than one rule modified.

Attending: Ann Abbott, David Todd, Nathan Jakubiak, Marc Johlic, Prasanna Bale, Rich Schwerdtfeger, Shawn Lauriat

Shawn - are you joining the call?

Nathan: A few rules modified.

Attending: Jon Gunderson

Rich: saw javascript syntax errors in eclipse.

Team thinks this is a problem with eclipse.

Jon: can i check my code in?

Even I faced the same problem with eclipse

Jon: Basically, will change the rule ids.

Jon: Found only one non-aria rule that was changed.

Rich to Jon: Check in your code.

Rich: Is the cache being used?

Jon: Will be using the cache for heading rules.

I guess my voice is not audible.. I am trying to reconnect

Jon: hasn't updated the OAA web site yet. He will work on it tomorrow.

Jon: What the goal for OAA 1.0?

Jon: OAA web site - we maintain a table about WCAG rules see above URL. Jon wants to reference http://www.oaa-accessibility.org/ instead.

Is replacing the table Ok? As we develop rules, we should develop test cases as well.

http://www.oaa-accessibility.org/testsuites/

Jon: Posted link to test cases.

Jon: DB can programmatically maintain rule ids, test cases, etc.

Rich: We need to produce the specification.

Jon: Table on Web site is out of date with the rules.

Jon: Would rather point to DB driven version of the table.

Rich: Can we have this on the Wiki?

Rich: Lets compare formats for the two tables.

Rich: Agree we can remove OAA Web table: /member/wiki/Accessibility_-_WCAG20_Validation_Rules

Rich: Talk to Jon Ferraiolo about format.

Vio: Thinks generating specification from the DB is important.

Rich: will talk with Jon Ferraiolo about generating table from DB.

Jon: Maintain specification in the DB and periodically copy documentation to Wiki.

Jon/Rich: We don't have to check with Jon Ferraiolo if we keep specification in DB and automatically generate documentation in Wiki format.

Jon: Let discuss new test cases.

Discussing: http://www.oaa-accessibility.org/testsuites/

Jon describing each column of table.

Jon: aria-styling -- do want to keep track of this?

Rich: leave it in.

http://www.oaa-accessibility.org/testsuites/test/1/

Discussing test number 1.

http://www.oaa-accessibility.org/examples/

Jon: Discuss examples section.

Rich: ARIA spec doesn't use legend for name calculation.

Rich: Hasn't see legend used very much. Jon does use it.

http://www.quackit.com/html/tags/html_legend_tag.cfm

Above link is example of legend/fieldset.

Rich: To folks producing enterprise tools. Should we test best practices?

Vio: Thinks yes, it's important to have best practices.

Jon: Custom rule sets for things like Dojo might be usefule.

Jon: Done with examples. Will continue working on test suites.
