Minutes

TOPIC: 1. Update on AInspector Sidebar

https://trac.ainspector.org/design/attachment/wiki/prototypes/ai-sidebar-0.14.3d.xpi

NH: No new updates from the past week

JG: Try to take a look at some known websites using the strict ruleset to check the results from the tool

JG: Nick and John will be meeting to address some changes to rules / messaging (older rules)

JG: Re-wrote some of the rules

JG: Creating test pages for each rule to ensure we can exercise each rule

TOPIC: 2. Nested Heading Rules

http://dev.oaa-accessibility.org/ruleset/rule/HEADING_5/

http://dev.oaa-accessibility.org/ruleset/rule/LANDMARK_6/

JG: Need to update Strict ruleset to remove HEADING_5

From IBM 1.3a: " Because screen readers can identify heading hierarchy (

versus

elements) to show organization, it is important to use headings in sequence. "

TOPIC: 3. Data Table Rules Review

http://dev.oaa-accessibility.org/rulesets/rule_category/

RS: Reminder that will not be a part of HTML5

TOPIC: 4. New Language Rules

http://dev.oaa-accessibility.org/ruleset/rule/LANGUAGE_1/

http://dev.oaa-accessibility.org/ruleset/rule/LANGUAGE_2/

http://dev.oaa-accessibility.org/ruleset/rule/LANGUAGE_3/

JG: LANGUAGE_3 is about validation of the code - we could move LANGUAGE_3 into LANGUAGE_1
